Another fine radio from my collection that I have owned for many years. This one's a bit larger than most plastic sets, it features a very unusual Ivory and black Plaskon case that's in three pieces. The Plaskon (like Catalin) is translucent, so when the set is on, the lighted dial give the top right area a warm glow. There are no  negatives with this set, it is a perfect as they come, the case is stunningly beautiful, insides are exceptionally clean, the dial is perfect and everything is all original.  Most Plaskon cabinets usually have numerous flaws and stress fractures, this one does not! Power transformer chassis, two bands (AM broadcast & short-wave).  It works and looks great and the finish is 100% original finish. Yes the black back is correct and it was quite common for Emerson to use black on most of their sets that had a separate molded back. This set does not have a built-in loop as it is designed to operate with an external "long-wire" antenna.

This set has had a complete electronic restoration and is 100% original sans the under chassis capacitors etc. The set works and sounds like new and satisfaction is guaranteed.
