My favorite pre-war record player which is really a radio/record player. This unique little player features one significant difference from nearly all other low priced record players from the mid-late 30s through the 1940s; the pick-up cartridge. This one uses a magnetic pick-up and still works as good as the day it was made! Unlike the typical crystal cartridge that's nearly impossible to find still working even if NOS. In spite of only a four tube circuit, both the radio and phono produce ample volume that's a good as any 5 tube radio. Although the radio is a two stage TRF, I got 6 clear stations where I live when most radios with a similar TRF circuit only get 4 without adjacent station interference.

Yes, it's a unique set made with an all metal cabinet. Note the automobile styling with the typical dash-board appearance of a car of the same period.

My restoration included the typical electronic work, motor clean & lub plus re-flocking of the turn-table. The paint and finish are all original.
